Our process began with a series of hand-drawn plaster ceiling designs, developed in collaboration with the client and design team. Once approved, we hand-sculpted the designs in specialist architectural clay, a unique material that sets cold and can be sanded to an ultra-smooth, flawless finish. This enabled us to achieve a crisp, refined surface ready for casting.

A key feature of the design was a bespoke ceiling garland — a decorative band that elegantly framed the room. It was custom-made to include the family’s favourite flowers, making the space deeply personal. Each bloom was hand-modelled, giving the ceiling a sense of life, intimacy, and movement.

The ceiling layout was carefully designed to work in harmony with recessed spotlights. Unlike traditional approaches where lighting is added post-design, we integrated the lighting fixtures within the plaster ceiling mouldings from the outset — combining bespoke ornamental plasterwork with functionality.

This seamless approach allowed the lighting to become part of the ceiling’s architecture, rather than a technical afterthought. The result is a clean, balanced interior that feels both modern and timeless.
